PRIVIT ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH THE BCHL

Columbus, OH: PRIVIT, the leader in athletic health information solutions, today announces it has partnered with the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL), one of the top junior hockey organizations in North America. BCHL member clubs will utilize PRIVIT’s medical information system to collect, process and manage player health information to ensure a responsible and successful 2020-21 season.

“As one of the premiere junior development hockey leagues in North America, we’re excited to collaborate and work closely with the BCHL on all of their player safety initiatives,” said PRIVIT CEO Russel Goodwin. “With the unique protocols put in place for this upcoming season, PRIVIT is helping provide all the necessary resources for BCHL teams to allow their players to safely return to sport. The implementation of PRIVIT across all 18 teams in the BCHL will now allow the league to standardize the way teams manage player & staff information. Existing BCHL player health and safety initiatives will be integrated and greatly enhanced via PRIVIT’s player safety management platform.”

Using PRIVIT, BCHL athletes will create a custom digital profile to complete all compliance paperwork and fill out necessary medical screening documents for their club’s athletic trainers.

“Player safety is a pillar of the BCHL and this partnership helps us further our goal of making our league as safe as possible for our players,” said BCHL Executive Director Steven Cocker. “This partnership allows us to have all our players’ medical information centralized in one place, which will help our teams’ medical staff track their data and easily transfer important information when a player is acquired by another team in the BCHL. PRIVIT is also an important part of the league’s COVID-19 return-to-play protocol, allowing the league and our teams to view daily screening information.”

PRIVIT’s solution provides transparency and ensures compliance, so that the safety concerns of athletes, parents and coaches are effectively addressed.

Sally Johnson, Executive Director for NCYS shares her opinion on Privit ProfileTM being a secure and reliable solution for collecting personal health history information, which helps identify symptoms of health problems that may pose a risk for an individual participating in athletic or exercise programs.

The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) has announced the approval to allow its member high schools to use Privit Profile™ (formerly Privit e-PPE) an electronic Pre-Participation Evaluation solution to replace the current paper-based PPE process used for interscholastic sports. PRIVIT®, a Columbus, Ohio, based company, transformed the process for the management and collection of physical forms required for participation in high school sports.

“As the governing body for high school athletic programs, the GHSA provides standards for participation in interscholastic sports throughout the state. The GHSA State Officers are excited to offer our high school members Privit Profile™ solution designed to enhance the sport pre-participation process as an option to the paper-based process,” said Ralph Swearngin, Executive Director of the Georgia High School Association.

Migrating the paper PPE process to Privit Profile™ solution gives parents the flexibility to keep their child’s health information current, and since the information is only entered once, updating the information in the future is as simple as clicking a few buttons. Privit Profile™ will help high schools better facilitate the process of collecting personal health history information from athletes and save time and costs associated with managing the paper process.

Privit Profile™ is a patented and secure solution that includes a more comprehensive health history questionnaire that is easy to use and helps mitigate health risks related to sports. The reports generated by Privit Profile™ provide a detailed summary of an athlete’s health history and readily identifies health risk areas to support the physical exam. Taking the paper-based process and transitioning it online will provide athletic trainers and coaches more time to focus on the nearly 193,000 Georgia student-athletes.

“It is an exciting time for interscholastic sports, as we continue to adapt and grow in a digital world. By implementing Privit Profile™, we look forward to enhancing the health and safety of our student athletes, and to providing a modern standard for the pre-participation process,” said Gary Phillips, Assistant Executive Director of the Georgia High School Association.

“Being a leader in sports health, we are looking forward to fostering a long-term relationship with the GHSA,” said Jeffrey Sopp, CEO of PRIVIT®. “Being able to provide Georgia high schools with a solution for improving processes that result in protecting the health and safety of student-athletes is rewarding.”

OHSAA initiates the use of PrivIT e-PPE to improve the health and safety of student-athletes.

The Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) has announced a partnership with PRIVIT®, a Columbus, Ohio, based company, to streamline the process for the management and collection of physical forms required for participation in high school sports. The OHSAA will be replacing the paper physical forms with Privit Profile™ (formerly Privit e-PPE) an electronic Pre-Participation Evaluation secure online solution beginning May 1 for the 2014-2015 academic year.

Within Privit Profile™, parents of student-athletes will complete the medical questionnaire that will prepopulate several forms required for sport participation. Upon completion, these forms will be printed and taken to the student-athlete’s physical exam. Parents will enjoy using Privit Profile™ to manage their student-athlete’s health history information, because in subsequent years, they will only have to update the information in Privit Profile™ as opposed to completing all the paper-based forms again.

Privit Profile™ is a secure HIPAA compliant solution that includes a more comprehensive health history questionnaire that is easy to use and helps mitigate health risks related to sports. The reports generated by Privit Profile™ provide a detailed summary of an athlete’s health history and readily identifies health risk areas to support the physical exam. Taking the paper-based process and transitioning it online will provide athletic trainers and coaches more time to focus on the nearly 350,000 Ohio student-athletes.

“As the governing body for high school athletic programs, the OHSAA provides health and safety information to high schools throughout the state. With the support of our Joint Advisory Committee on Sports Medicine, we are excited to provide our high school members the Privit Profile™ solution as a service designed to enhance the sport pre-participation process,” said Dr. Dan Ross, Commissioner of the Ohio High School Athletic Association. “When you think about sports and your student-athlete, you think of only the best. You want your child to be active, learn discipline, be healthy and have fun. It’s our job to help our school districts provide a safe sporting environment.”

“We are looking forward to a long-term relationship with the OHSAA,” said Jeffrey Sopp, CEO of PRIVIT®. “Being affiliated with an association like the OHSAA is a true testament to what PRIVIT® has to offer the sports industry when it comes to improving the health and safety of athletes. It’s great that Privit Profile™ will be provided immediately to schools and the participants, and we’re looking forward to the near future when use of our product will be the standard.”

OHSAA will begin rolling out Privit Profile™ throughout the State high school athletic departments starting May 2014. Future plans include onboarding over 200,000 seventh and eighth grade junior high school athletes, officials, and coaches.
