August is Children’s Eye Health and Safety Month
Did you know when properly fitted, appropriate eye protection can reduce the risk of eye injuries by at least 90%! (The Ohio Ophthalmological Society) As children are heading back to school and athletes are getting back into regular practices, you can prevent sport-related eye injuries with the proper eye protection.
Depending on the sports your child competes in will determine what kind of sports protective eyewear they will need when out in the field. Be sure to talk to your eye doctor to determine what eye protection is best for your child.
