AJSM Article: Benefits and Importance of Analysis of Data Collected from e-PPE

Recently the American Journal of Sports Medicine published an article by Gordon O. Matheson, MD. PhD, Scott Anderson, MA, ATC, and Kevin Robell, MA, ATC, on the benefits of analyzing data collected from an electronic pre-participation evaluation. The study focused on investigating de-identified data pulled from Privit Profile (formerly e-PPE) for 1,693 collegiate athletes, over a four year period at Stanford University. The study provides evidence supporting the importance of collecting this information electronically to improve overall athletic programs and conditioning programs. Thus, resulting in improved health and safety for athletes.
